What can I say, how to make a place look far better than it is…
Our last-minute trip to Cabo, Mexico, was the result of a snowless skiing trip to Whistler, Canada. You know, because when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade, and when life gives you no snow, you go to the beach. We wanted to escape the winter and made the rookie mistake of choosing Cabo because of the ease of a direct flight from our home airport in Kelowna.
Why am I being negative? Well, let's say that Cabo was dirtier than my laundry pile and more expensive than my wife’s taste in restaurants. And don't even get me started on Solmar Resort; they were more interested in selling condos than providing a good vacation experience. If I hadn't been so spontaneous, I would have thought twice before booking. Lesson learned: always think before you act, or you might end up in Cabo.
The title will make sense now that you've read this, seen the photos and video. Or not, who knows. :-)
